Dear Students:
The U.S. Department of Education has allocated Saint Xavier University $2 million
for COVID-19 Emergency Aid Grants through the CARES Act. You’re receiving this email
because you may be eligible for a COVID-19 Emergency Grant.
Undergraduate students enrolled in the spring semester will be eligible to receive
up to $650 if you have:
- Filed a 2019-2020 FAFSA and submitted all required documentation to the Office of
Financial Aid; and
- Been enrolled in an in-person, degree-seeking program prior to March 13, 2020, and
remained enrolled through the semester.
The grants, per the U.S. Department of Education, may be used to cover expenses such
as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care and child care incurred
due to the disruption of campus operations.
Complete the COVID-19 Emergency Aid Grants Form to request a grant. Your certification will be reviewed to ensure compliance with
all eligibility requirements prior to releasing funds. The Office of Financial Aid
will contact you with any questions or to confirm your eligibility.
As funding is limited, awards will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Please
complete the certification form immediately. Applications will be accepted through May 29, 2020.
